John and I like to eat and drink, hence...

we’ve started hosting evenings where we turn people onto the joys of Oregon food and wine. The focus is pinot noir, natch, but we’ll throw in some bonus grapes just for fun, and of course I’ll be cooking up the bounty of this glorious place.

John’s been in the wine industry, once he left the ski bum/river guide life behind, and he’s genius at sharing all the joys of wine without any of the pretensions, so guests end up learning about wine through the pure fun of the evening.

Our current homebase is Cookshop, a cool kitchen studio space in the Clinton neighborhood of southeast Portland. We also have visions of wine and food experiences (cuz it’s all about the experience, right?) on the Nordic ski trails of the Cascades, or on the banks of the Crooked River, or soon (we hope) under the sunny skies of Sicily, where we’ll drink nerello mascalese and eat grilled swordfish. Wanna join us?

So check back here, check the Cookshop website, and follow us on Instagram, which is my preferred mini-publishing mode. We’d be delighted to craft an experience just for you and your tribe, as well, so feel free to reach out. Let the brainstorming begin!
